Girls Night Out

My sister planned a fun weekend with her girlfriends and called upon me to be the babysitter! I accepted the invitation because it is not very often I am called upon so when the opportunity came, I was quick to grab it. So I ended up going to Ashley's house to pick up the kids but when I got there Rocco was sleeping. Finally he woke up right as Ashley was leaving. She told Jillian is was time for her nap now. So Jillian ran into the bedroom shut the door and she was out! Hmmm... that was far too easy. So Rocco and I ate lunch and began to playand play.............and play...........I began to think to my self, HOW DOES THE KID REMAIN HAPPY AND SMILING ALL DAY LONG?? I mean really I can't be that much fun. From my experiences, good moods are hard to come by so I was amazed at the little guy's happiness. (Ash did tell me this is totally normal) Lucky mommy!!!This was my attempt to take my famous Black and White of the kid. I would give it a B- but don't worry the summer is approaching and I will be sure to find him smiling on the beach. When Jillian woke up we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Cheese's house for Grandpa's birthday. The kids played but Rocco seemed to be really fussy and acting super tired. He started to fall asleep on Bryan's shoulder when a light bulb went on that he hadn't had dinner. We can't put him to bed without dinner. So I put him in his chair and he ATE and ATE and ATE and ate some more. OOOPPPSSS!!!! Dah Aunt Masure the kid is hungry. I was really worried about the kids sleeping at our house but they seemed to fit right in. Ash warned me that 5:30 wake up call could be coming my way. When I heard the kids Sunday morning I opened one eye and saw 7:00 looking back at me. Impressive!!! So we played in the playroom and watched tons of movies. It was great to have them to myself and get to spend some quality time with them. They were both VERY well behaved. I told Ash sign me up again!

Training

Well now that I am back I must get into running. It has to be my main mission on my mind. When we first got back it was raining and so it put a small hold on running but now it is beautiful skies and I am ready to go. Yesterday, I ran 3 miles but had to walk a lot. My legs were very heavy. I think I have to start from scratch since the wedding and honeymoon. This morning I was going to see how far I could go. I was going to push it. I got to .75 and my sister calls. Well.... I talked to her for like 30 minutes. Oops. She is so busy with her kiddos it is important when she gets a break to talk that I take full advantage of it. So we caught up and as a result I was almost all the way around my track. I hung up and began to push it for the home stretch. I was turning on the last street home when I saw my aunt at the mailbox. And so.... I stopped and caught up with her. Yes, I know this sounds like a bunch of excuses and it is but I am going to go out tonight and run again. I am going to simulate a two-a-day back when I was at St. Mary's. Also, my wedding photographer called and said we can meet today and he will give me our photos!!! YAY!!! GO COWBOYS!!!

Lost Wages!!

Oh wait did I say that? We headed off for on honeymoon to Las Vegas! We have been to Vegas a few times together and always have a great time. I like the shows and Bill likes to gamble so it was fitting to go there for our honeymoon. We decided to stay at the newly built Aria hotel and boy did we make the right choice. This is what we pulled up to...
This was our view from the breakfast table!

Our room was amazing. We walked in the room and the curtains rolled open, the TV turned on, and the lights came on. It was ridiculous. I had a remote on my nightstand that I could do anything from Turn on the TV, turn the lights on, open the curtains, or change the temperature. I completely recommend this hotel. At the bottom of the elevators was heaven. It was a pastry shop that was delicious.
On the outside we were not disappointed. It was called City Center. Basically, I think they are going for a city within the city. This was so fitting for Bill and I. Our own canoe art piece. They must have known we were visiting!
We were spoiled with our choice in shows. They were excellent. First, we saw Defending the Caveman (a little men are from Mars and Women from Venus). It was very funny and made Bill and I say " Ya, I hear ya!!" a couple of times. On Sunday, we saw KA at the MGM. Here we are outside the hotel all dolled up ready to go. It was a very good show.
On Monday, we walked down to the Venetian. We opened the doors to this man playing in the lobby. I was so happy. What a perfect welcome gift. I made Bill dance all over the lobby. Okay Okay I'm lying but I can dream sometimes.
We stopped in at the little Grand Lux cafe'. This is me enjoying the best cup of Cream of Chicken soup money could buy. I told myself to think outside the box on food and try something new each meal. I was not disappointed on this one. It was great!!
We sat on the front row for the Blue Man Group. This show was Bill's favorite. The boys beat those drums and made us laugh. My name was put on the screen at the start of the show and Bill was used to shove a camera down his throat by one of the Blue Men. It was very interactive and had us laughing. After the show the went out tot he lobby and we got to take pictures. These are the talented bands that played. They used black lights and so they looked like skeletons playing the drums.
Finally, Bill and I got to take a picture with one of the three stars. How fun!!!
Our last night we saw Zumanity. It was actually my favorite show. It was very tasteful. We took a fun professional picture before the show. It is so cute and I already displayed it in the bedroom.
While the bride and groom were away, the parents were busy working on our house. It was IMPRESSIVE to see what all was done while we were gone. My mom had decorating plans. She put together our new bedroom and I must say I LOVE IT!!! Turned out to be such a relaxing room.
She got the pretty bathroom put together.
And got the kitchen ready to go.
I am so excited to use all of our new loot. THANK YOU MOM!!!!

Ceremony

The boys came to get me and Gavin said, " Summer, come on, they are waiting to see you!" The boys looked cute as cute can be and were so excited for their daddy to marry me. My sister came through once again making sure her younger sister had the best day of her life.
I am not sure we stopped smiling all day.
Here is the new Pearce family. We clean up well.
Here comes Bill to marry his bride.
You never know how the kiddos will do but these kids were fantastic. They did what we said and were the stars of the night.
My one shinning moment. All eyes on me! Going down to meet my groom.
Look at this incredible view. I was amazed at how wonderful our choice in venues turned out.
Tied the knot. Off to the reception.
My godfather came all the way from Hallsville, TX to perform the ceremony. I got so many compliments on it. He did such a wonderful job. Bill and I got through our vows without shedding to many tears. Afterwards, Mike told a poem about Bill and I to the crowd. It was so thoughtful and wonderful. Couldn't have been better in my eyes!!

Rehearsal Dinner

We got all settled in Castroville. I got my stuff spread out in my bridal suite. It was such a treat! The bathroom was amazing. We began to get ready for the rehearsal. Bill got his outfit on and was all smiles. I rocked my tights and my cute fur. I was a little cold but ready to organize the ceremony.
The kids were excellent all weekend. Jillian was ready to be the star. She was so proud holding Roy's hand. She did an excellent job.
We practiced a run through twice and felt comfortable with the sequence of the ceremony. Everyone seemed in good spirits but we sure were ready to get inside from the cold. Mike, my godfather, was the officiant and had the situation under control.
We finally got our food and Bill and I got up and welcomed everyone. We did a great job despite our nervousness. We gave out our gifts. The boys got Swiss army knifes and the girls got furs. That is right: FURS!! It was a slight twist we decided to put into the wedding. We knew it was going to be cold so we decided instead of wraps we would use furs.
Uncle John, who is very near and dear to our hearts, got up and gave a toast and cried through most of it. He did a great job. He came all the way from Irving to be Bill's best man.
Ashley gave an awesome speech about how she was always my biggest fan and supporter and that I am the type of person that needs that so she passed the torch on to Bill to take on that new role.
Finally, my dad got up and talked about how brothers only marry sisters once in a blue moon and there happen to be a blue moon. (CLEVER!!) And the next one will occur on our 18th anniversary. I can't wait!! Here is the happy couple ready to seal the deal!
