When we woke up the next morning we all wandered into the back yard and found an interesting site. One of our trees had peaches growing on them. The boys were fascinated and decided they need to take the pictures.
Then right next to it was this HUGE sunflower. Seriously, it is bigger than Gavin.
Over the weekend, we went down to Port A and ran the Beach to the Bay Marathon. It was an interesting experience. We woke up on Saturday to a down pour. We were sure they were going to call it off but nope. So we ventured out.
Yes, that is my Ipod in the dry bag. Can't run without music. We got stuck in traffic on the way and ended up missing the 4th leg drop off. So we had to then go to the 5th leg drop off. Turns out we were two miles from that transition. So Bill and I walked in a hard rain and cold head wind all the way to meet Bobby. When we finally found him we had to pee so bad so we headed to the potties. After that I was not feeling good so I sent Bill on and I slowly began my mind game of Summer don't be a wimp you can do this. As I began to run my wonderful LEFT knee began to hurt. I am totally annoyed that anything I try to do gets halted by my body. UGH! But a somehow made to the end and met up with Bill. So we ended up basically running the 5th and the 6th legs of the marathon which comes out to around 8 miles. We are both completely sore and struggling to get back to work. After the race we went to meet some friends out at the beach. We had a good time and I got to hang out with an old friend from high school. Sunday morning Ash and Bryan came over to the cabin and invited us to the beach but we were way to tired and headed back. This was my baby in the passenger's seat. Man what did she do this weekend?
