Chocoholic Frolic -February Race

Loaded up and heading to Morgan's wonderland. My February race is the Chocofrolic.
Bill and the boys bundled up to cheer me on. It was a bit cool this morning.
I met Brad and Amy at the start line.
They had a few sayings around the route. This one made me think of my mom.
The weather was a bit muggy but I woke up and my body felt great. Amy and I headed out together chatting away.
After the first loop I headed into where all the soccer fields are. They had a water station and we're giving Hershey kisses. I grab a bunch and then I saw my boys. I gave high fives and handed off the candy. Bill said they ate all of it.
After the race the boys got to play on the playground. Such a nice facility out there. There was butterflies everywhere so we snapped a picture.
Brad got 1st place in his division and 2nd overall so we stayed for the awards ceremony. McCoy was a trooper but soon fell asleep.
I ran the entire race without walking. My knees felt great and never really got too winded. Now this morning my back is sore and my calves and thighs are burning.

Stats:
Overall: 155
Division: 34/209
sexPl: 102/629
Time: 32:51
Pace: 10:35

Kiernan's basketball

Kiernan's basketball is in full swing these days. He gets so excited when he has practice or a game.

Learning all the aspects of the game. Even good sportsmanship.
Here he is shooting a scoring his first basket. He was so excited.
He is extremely scared the ball is going to hit him in the face or head so we are trying to get him to be more aggressive. He stands in the middle and watches everything. But I think he is learning things and having tons of fun.

My Dad

Well today is the most important day for my favorite man in my life. He is going into surgery to remove the tumor that has stopped our family in our tracks. The moment we all found out on December 19th life just hasn't been the same. He had to make the crucial decision to try and get this tumor out to prolong his life.
Last Saturday we moved the coffe table from the living room and created a dance floor so my dad could dance with my mom. He went through the CD called dad's dozen that my sister had made for him long ago. He went through each song and talked about why he liked it and the importance of it to him.
Patsy Cline's Crazy came on and he danced with my mom. Such an amazing moment for them and also for ash and I to see. Our parents still in love and holding each other in such a hard time.
Finally dad came over to us girls and we took a picture together. I'm praying the doctor's can heal my dad's body so he can watch my children grow up and he can continue to enjoy golf and my mom and him can live many happy years together.
Go get 'me dad. Just like you never missed any of my games growing up. I'll be there for you as you fight your own battle.
We love you dad!!!

Spurs game

One of our suppliers gave us Spurs tickets. We loaded up and headed down with the boys. Bill ran and got KK his own Tim Duncan shirt. At one time Kiernan said Tim Duncan was his best friend.
He immediately began cheering for them. He was jumping up and down screaming when we scored. He was having the best time.
But on the way home these boys passed out. A little too much weekend fun.

McCoy is 7 months old

These two melt my heart. My double stroller is broken so I have to load them up together in the single but that is no problem. They love each other. McCoy adores his big brother and always smiling at him even if KK is a little rough with him.
McCoy just can't get the sickies right now. His nose is constantly running. He can't drink his milk because he can't breathe. He pulls on his ear occasionally to make me think he hasn't totally kicked the ear infection. But I can still get that boy to smile from ear to ear. He just has the sweetest spirit.
I put on the cute train outfit and did a little photo shoot. He is sitting up very well. He is decked out and looking good for church.
He always has his mouth open. He isn't that into tummy time so he is not into crawling yet.
Bill caught a cute picture of his little curled tongue.

Bringing the kids to the job site

One of the greatest perks of our jobs is that we can bring the kids to the job site and show them what mama and dada do all day long. The best part for everyone is when we come to the step of the concrete pour. Seriously, people come from everywhere to watch it. Even cars driving by will stop to watch. There is just something fascinating about it. Bill picked up the boys from school and we all met at the job site for the big pour. Here we are waiting for the concrete truck. You're looking at the large trough where we lay our Ibeam for the gate to slide on.
KK got his tape measure and was checking things out. This was KK's first time on the job. We was into throwing rocks in the hole. It was neat because he asked numerous questions and wanted to know exactly what was going on.
Gavin wanted to jump in and help. Kiernan was asking questions.
Kiernan wanted to grab a shovel. We told him to stay in school.
Our concrete chief took the time to show KK how to smooth out the concrete. I appreciate him taking the time to include him.
I had to rush off but after I left Gavin grabbed a shovel and filled in the remaining hole. The boys absolutely loved to be out there. I am so glad we are able to bring the boys to work.

McCoy's 6 month check up

McCoy went to the doctor today and he seems to be doing great. Everything is normal. She said he is doing so good with eating and now gaining weight better.
She wants me to try to keep breast feeding until the end of February. Ok. I will try. :)
He got two shots and one oral vaccine. He stopped crying as soon as I picked him up.
He weighed 16lbs 8oz (23%) and was 26" long(14%) and his head is 45 (86%). The head thing made me laugh.

He has been such a happy baby. He loves to be walked. He loves to laugh and find KK. He loves to watch kids in general. He is grabbing everything. He is really good with his hands and can pick up items. He always wants to have something in his hands. I feel like he wants to get up and walk instead of learning to crawl first. He is doing well with all food I'm introducing him to. He really hasn't not liked anything. He will be baptistized this Sunday at the church.

Fit 2015

I found this girl on Instagram that looks totally fit and she had some workout videos on her page. One was called the booty workout. I feel I have a flat booty and that it needs a few more curves so I wanted to target that area. It was 500 different booty reps. Boy was it hard.

On Saturday Bill and I did a Jillian michaels shred you tube video. We had Gavin and KK gettin in on the action.  I think it was about 20 minutes but we have been hurting.

Then on Sunday my sis and I met at my moms house and got out with all the kids and strollers and went on a walk/run.

Sweet little cousins. They CAN be so sweet sometimes.
We got back and the Cowboys were not doing so hot so Ash said we needed to get back out there so we did it again. Felt good and had tons of fun with the kids joining in. They all did great.

Kiernan's playing basketball

Sometimes it is fun just to dress my lil' man. Although all of his 3T pants are so high watered. Guess he is going to be tall like his daddy.
Kiernan got this green basketball last Christmas and really hadn't got much use out of it until recently he saw Gavin was playing basketball and decided he wanted to play too. I thought 3 was a little young but when I watched him I really thought he could hang with the 4 year olds. So I searched for a league and one wouldn't take him because he was three but I found another one and signed him up.
We finally got the call that he was placed on a 3 and 4 year old team. He was so excited. He had his first practice on Wednesday and loved it. They are going to play with the little mini ball. He practiced dribbling. I think his favorite part was when the ball got away from his and he had to run after it and slides on the floor to pick it up.
And I just can't leave out this precious little boy. He has been such a ham lately. He is smiling and laughing all the time. He started solid foods and has tried Sweet Potatoes and Carrots. He is rolling over a daycare but not too much for me. He has his 6 month check up on Wednesday.

Out of town bday party

My good friend Amy's son turned 5 and I really wanted to go to his little party so we loaded up the boys and headed two hours to Killeen. It was at a gymnastics gym. This is right up kk's alley. He LOVES going to these places.
Most of the party stuck to the foam pit. All the kids loved this.

McCoy got in on the action and tried out the trampolines.
He really liked watching KK play and eating my bracelet.
Bill became the gymnastic coach and started sending all the kids off the rope into the pit. There may have been a few kids crying after all this shenanigans.
Amy did a really cute job with the construction theme party. We spent most of our time playing in the gym. Then I like we got 10 minutes into our trip home and they were out.

We were almost home and KK started crying saying he was cold. Then he was crying he had to pee. Bill told him to hold on. KK cried again and said he had to pee. Bill kept driving trying to find the perfect spot. He finally pulls over and as he is getting out Kiernan says dad I just peed. Lol!!!!!!! Hey dad when the boy says he has to go, PULL OVER!!!

5 years FLiES!!!!

There we are looking so gorgeous for our big day. It turned out to be super cold that day but that didn't stop us. I told Bill that was one of my favorite days. Seems like not that long ago but it definitely was. I remember so many people showed up we had to add tables in another room. And when it was time to dance we had to put tables away and create or own dance floor. I remember my dad holding my arm and walking me down the isle. I remember that my godfather came and officiated our wedding for us. At the end of the ceremony he told us a poem he had written for us. It was full of great humor and such detail.  I remember Uncle John crying through his toast. I remember Ashley's toast saying that on that day she hopes that we love each other the least because each day together we should love each other more and more. After 5 years, we have created a beautiful life. We run our own small business, added two beautiful children and our surrounded by amazing family and friends. We never thought we could iron things out and make it all work but after 5 years I think we are doing just fine.

McCoy is 6 months old

My littlest boy is already 6 months old. Where does the time go? From the first day he came into this world I could tell he was just the sweetest little soul. Nothing has changed in these six months. McCoy doesn't like loud noises or anybody foreign holding him. He is perfectly content with his mama. He is totally into nursing although I think I'm slowly going to give up breast feeding so he can get more food. I did pretty good this time.
McCoy is happy most of the time. He fusses when he's hungry. He must be easy going to make it through Disney at only one month old. Mama survived that too. He lights up while he stares at KK.
I started him on sweet potatoes this week and he ate it right up. He always keeps his head up when he is sitting. He didn't like riding in the car but is getting much better. He has rolled over just a handful of times. He seems like he wants to walk before he crawls. He only sleeps two hours at a time so I am definitely looking forward to him getting a little older so he can get longer sleeps so mama gets a little more rest. He is grabbing toys and he has been chewing on anything to help his gums. He should be getting some teeth soon. He is such a beautiful baby and has th ebrightest blue eyes.
Sweet brothers.

Christmas Eve Church Service

We always take a Christmas selfie before the service starts. Looking good!! We filled a whole pew with our family but they actually stayed quiet and we all made it through the whole service.
We began Silent Night and got our candles lit. Kiernan wasn't too sure about it.
But this is Gavin's favorite part of the service. Who doesn't love Silent Night with a lit candle?
Bill spotted the gorgeous Christmas tree in the church and it was just too beautiful to not stop for a photo. I thought this turned out great of our family.
Mom and Dad were taking their picture and I decided I needed to get one with them. Love these two to pieces,
