One of the best days of my life....

I had a regular scheduled doctor's appointment on June 14th at 11:00am. I was meeting a new doctor because my doctor took off to Venice. Really?? I am not more important. So it takes forever and Bill and I's patience is being tested when he walks in and puts us at ease. He was so nice and got right down to business. He said well let me check you.... OKAY?? Well you are 3 centimeters. Would you like to deliver your baby tomorrow?? (Bill said my face went white) So I said sure no problem. The doctor got on the phone right away and said well the hospital says they want you to come tonight at 8:30pm. ohhhhhhhh!!!!! So Bill and I rushed home and began to prepare. We put the base in the car and I began tying loose ends at work so that I could relax.

We got to the hospital and they hooked me up by 9:15pm and started a small dose of pitocin. They gave me an Ambien and that is all I remember til 4:00am when the nurse came in and began upping my pitocin. Early that morning my mom came up and sat with me for awhile. So what is every pregnant girl that is about to give birth suppose to do...... DUH?!? Put on make up! Sitting happy as a lark with no pain at all. So glad that big ole' belly is gone. At 6:45am, the nurse checked and I was still 3. I was thinking to myself this could be a long one. Then at 8:00am I began feeling the pain. At about 8:15am the nurse walked in and saw me in pain and asked if I wanted my epidural.... Why of course!!!! At 9:00am the doc came in and put in my epidural and the nurses got me all situated. By 9:15am I was resting easy with absolutely no pain at all.

At 11:15am I was 5.... Whooo Hoooo we have progress!!! By 1:45pm I was 8 and 100% effaced! At 5:45, the nurse decided that I needed to try and push and see what happens. I had five contractions of three pushes each and at 6:15pm on 6/15/11, my beautiful baby boy came into this world.

Last Days of the Family of Four

I have the boys totally trained now with pictures. They deal with my craziness about pictures. So we had a very short photo shoot right here at the end of the pregnancy so we can have a few more memories of us four together before we shake things up a little bit and throw in another cutie. They are such handsome boys.

I really thought this one came out nice and I blew it up and hung it in the kitchen. SUPER CUTE.

Getting super close to the end and getting very antsy. I am ready to meet my new little one.

Par 3 Course

On of Bill and I's favorite things to do together is play golf. We are basically evenly matched and so we can be competitive and have lots of fun together. The boys get really sad when Bill and I go and do stuff when they are not with us. We usually or try to take them with us everywhere. But when they are gone we definately spoil ourselves and go have a little fun adult time. So the boys have been very interested in golf and they want to go with us and play. It is really hard to take them to play 18 holes because of pace of play and they just aren't at that level yet to do all 18. Bill has a par 3 course that he loves and so we thought we would try it out with the boys. THEY LOVED IT!!! It was so nice because no one was on the course so we could take our time and teach the boys as much as we could. Gavin had so much fun running around. We had to teach him golf ediquette because he has to know that if he is ever going to play with my dad. :) But we let him hit and he did good. He got a little disinterested by hole 8 or 9 but he kept playing because he just likes to be hanging out with dad, me and big brother.

Roy has been playing since last summer. We put him in a camp and he seemed to really enjoy it. We got him some new clubs for his birthday and signed him up for another camp this summer so he has been iching to play. He has a bit of a temper and can get VERY frustrated so I think golf is the perfect sport for him to learn how to control all of that. Bill and I worked very hard on try and help him. He did pretty good but just wants to be Tiger Woods and doesn't realize how hard this game really is.

The boys having a little fun.

Feeling the love.

Don't they look so happy. It was actually a really good time and I think it is perfect for the boys to learn this hard game.
We had Ashley's kiddos over to hang out with us. The kids are really into the water hose lately. They decided to make their own water park. They had a blast. Jillian and Rocco jumped right in. Jillian was going on her stomach and is the most fearless kid I have ever seen. Rocco is a little more reserved but really LOVES Roy and wants to do anything he asks. So with Roy at the bottom of the slide he was right in there with the others. We had so much fun and they even both spent the night. Rocco did well. We sent them home with a few bumps and bruises from playing so hard but I think Ash wasn't too mad.

Just a sweet little picture of me and my little niece.

Finally, summer is here which means lots of change in our household. Of course we have the baby coming hopefully sooner than later and.... Roy is now a 6th grader. Can you believe it??!!?? They put on a very nice ceremony for him.

My camera was not focusing very well but it absolutely cracks me up that I have trained him to stop and smile for the camera. I couldn't get it to take it and he kept standing there smiling til he saw the flash go..... What a trooper.

Gavin graduates from PreK tonight and will be in Kinder next year. WOW!!!!
