Fiesta

Bill and I have never been to any Fiesta activities in San Antonio since we have been together. One of Bill's friends, Pete asked to borrow our trailer for their SPOT. In return, they invited us to all of the activities. We were not going to go but we finally decided to try it out.
It was super hot but we got to their spot and saw that they had a pretty nice set up. We decided to go for a walk and check things out. KK always gets the best seat in the house. Lucky guy his daddy is so tall.
We bumped into our neighbors that KK adores. They absolutely love Kiernan. They just melt and grab for him every chance they get.
It was getting close to the start of the parade so we headed back to our seats. Yummy burgers were served and we were as happy as can be...... EXCEPT mommy forgot diapers.... Really?? Who does that....
We borrowed a size 5 (KK wears a 3) and found that it didn't seem to bother him and Kiernan got in his pre parade nap.
We packed it in just as the parade began.
We had so much fun. The police started us off with all of their sirens. Then came all the schools ROTCs. Then came all of the bands, floats, balloons, etc. WOW!!! It sure was fun. This big Tiger was my favorite.

It was so nice to experience Fiesta. Such a fun tradition this city has to offer. I am glad we were a part of it. Thanks to our buddies for the experience.

Clappin' to the Music

We have a worshipper on our hands. We absolutely love going out to Oak Hills for their service on Saturday night at 5:00pm. Since Kiernan was born we haven't been going because they don't have a place to put the little ones. I am always nervous to take him because he doesn't sit still and is loud. But Bill wanted to try it again and we had all three boys so we thought they could help entertain him. I have been trying since Kiernan was 9 months old to clap but he is very resistant to my teachings. It has been my goal to see my boy clap. (Really?? Why do I care....of course someday the kid is going to clap)He absolutely lights up when he hears music and bobs his head but has never started to clap until......
We were standing and singing at church when all of a sudden he started clapping. I didn't get a great video of him but you get the idea. I even think he sings at one point and says Amazing God. Can't you hear it? He loved the music and did pretty good through the service. He had to be taken out the last 15 minutes but that service is 1 hour and 15 minutes so I give him two thumbs up!!

We have been playing music continuously for him and he bobs his head and claps. Guess he did hear all of my jams while he was in my tummy. I have been gloating on him ever since. :)

10 Months Old

I cannot believe he is 10 Months Old. Someone asked me at the grocery store how old he was and I answered back right away with 9 months. As I was driving home, I looked at my phone and saw 4/17/12 and I thought NOOOOO..... he is 10 months old. I didn't even get his photo shoot ready. I didn't have the perfect outfit ready to go. I tried yesterday morning to get the perfect shot but had no luck. So then I had to try a second outfit on a second day and this is the one I choose. I hope one day he or maybe his wife will appreciate all the efforts that I made to remember his monthly photo shoot and make sure he or her has lots of memories.
Not much has changed for the little guy. He still stands for two seconds and falls. He isn't interested in walking because he likes to just squat down and start crawling. He gets frustrated when he can't get what he wants and bumps his head on everything because he tried to go through it and not around it. He loves to bang toys on the floor. He is still into green beans and sweet potatoes. His new thing is lasagna. He also now wants my food instead of his baby food. The only problem is his stomach isn't ready for it because he always throws it up later. His stomach has never been exactly perfect. He loves to be outside in the yard watching all the kids and oh yeah....eating dirt. He loves it.

Camping at Garner

We left late on Friday and headed to Concan to meet our friends John and Lisa for a little camping fun. We (well Bill and John) put the tent up in the dark while I helped KK adjust to camping. He thought the tent was great and like to pull all the strings hanging.
Bill bought this really neat sport umbrella that helps keep wind and sun off KK. It worked like a charm since the weather was a little unpredictable all weekend. We all loaded up on Saturday and went on a nature hike together. Bill was taking KK over major terrain. KK didn't stand a chance and fell right over and went to sleep.
Literally.......
We had a good time. Late Saturday afternoon, Lisa and I put on our swimsuits and did a lil' tubing. LOL!!! It was maybe for about 20 yards but we had fun. Bill grab the fishing pole and hot dogs and found a lil' fishing hole. He caught two baby fish. Sunday morning it began to rain. We packed up and headed home. It was a quick but fun trip and KK did very well for his first time camping.

Easter Sunday

The boys woke up and were ready to grab their eggs. KK got the lead but was only interested in a green egg. After they found all the eggs, KK wanted to steal some of Gavin's eggs.

We counted their Easter money (Man, Easter bunny went a little crazy this year) and got ready for church. The service was packed and we had a good time and then we headed to Grammies. And of course, more photos of the boys.

Can they get any cuter?

Only if you add my sister's kids to the mix... I swear these kid clothing companies should pay us to dress our kids in their clothes. We could really sell em'.

Grammie got the kids new clothes and candy.

We then hid Easter eggs ALL AFTERNOON LONG!!! We kept hiding them and hiding them. Then the kids hid them for the adults to find. When we got home the boys played outside and had more Easter egg fun with the neighbors. This involved cascarones, flour filled eggs, and raw eggs. GROSS!! I stayed inside for these events. Finally, Gavin, KK and I were in the shower and Gavin says, "Mommy, this was one of my favorite days." God love him!!

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday involves the kids coming through the sanctuary to commemorate the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. The kids get to wave their palm just as the crowds did as Jesus rode in on a donkey and scream, "Hosanna"!! I think it really helps the kids understand what was going on back in Jesus' time. It helps start the Easter traditions while still underlining the reasons why we celebrate Easter. Rocco always gets a little tense in large crowds.
Gavin normally struggles with this too but seemed to do okay with Jillian by his side. He has really been enjoying Sunday School with Jillian. He always asks me if it is Sunday yet so we can go to church. This of course makes me a very happy mommy.

This picture was so funny because he leaned forward to check and see if we were watching him.

Kiernan was causing trouble in the nursery so we picked him up early so he could help us set up the egg hunt.

Gavin and Jillian went through again at the second service.

Before the mayhem, I of course grab the boys for some photos.

And a family photo......

And the cousins........ I thought this one went much better. I set my camera on rapid fire and pick the best one. :)

Kiernan enjoying the egg hunt.

Gavin picked his favorite. A pink egg!!!

I thought the egg hunt went very well. I think next year we need to put out more eggs. There was a huge turn out and the baskets seemed a little skimpy but I think the kids had fun. Can't wait til next weekend. He have the boys again for Easter.

GG's Birthday

We loaded up the family and headed to Hondo for my grandma's 94th birthday. It was super hot outside but the scenery and company was awesome. We all packed it in and had our waitress snap some photos. Here I am in the coral of my boys. That's right folks..... I got Roy to match the gang!! :)

And also managed to snap a family photo.

The kids loved this little bath tub. They played in that the whole time.

Me and my lil man snapped a shot. He did very good. I didn't realize it but there were major ants out there and he got bit three times before I scooped him up.

Hadleigh is always beaten up on her little cousin so I thought this picture was precious of KK poking her with the stick. LOL!! Aren't they so cute?

Ash and I are struggling getting 6 kids to snap the perfect picture. You know how we wish we could capture there perfect cuteness but I guess we have to be realistic that it just may not happen. We did the best we could......

My boys + Rocco!!!!

Gavin and Jillian playing together at the well. They were picking up acorns and throwing them in the well. I had to halt that game and play a new game of picking out all of the acorns from the well.

I really wasn't able to have much conversation with all of the family because I was busy keeping my kiddos behaved but it was nice to see them and I think my grandma had a great day. She impresses me every time I see her. She doesn't have a walker and still is functioning perfectly. Hope I can say the same for me around 94. I think my family is full of strong women!!
