Babysitter

I would have to say I am a great babysitter. I love working from home so that when duty calls I am there with open arms to help. My mom and dad are keeping Ms. Hadleigh right now everyday so there are a few times when they just need a little help and that is when I step in. Bryan showed up today with this beautiful precious baby girl. She was WIDE eyed when she got here so I knew I was in for a long day. I gave her a bottle thinking that a full belly would do the trick but not so much. Our SF auditor had an appointment with me at 11:30 so I knew she had to be asleep fast. It didn't happen. I held her the whole time he was here. Walked all over the place just bouncing along. Mr. Auditor finally left at about 1:00pm and that was the golden ticket. I look down and she is ......... Out like a light..... I snuggle her in bed and she slept til 3:00pm when Poppy and Grammie should up to take her. I always hate waking up a sleeping baby but she had to go.

I love this stage. I know it is because I can always give her back and not get overwhelmed but she is just so sweet. I am so thankful that I am in a position that I get to spend a little one on one time with her. I feel like it is kind of gearing me up for what is about to come my way. Sure it will be a bit different when it's my own but definitely gives me a little practice.

Gavin's Spring Program

Gavin had a Spring Program at his school. This is the first program we have attended for him and I had a complete blast. He is so innocent. When we walk in he comes running up to us like he hasn't seen us in years. Just makes you feel so good! Here he is cheesing with his daddy.

He acted shy through a lot of the performance but definitely has a "cut up" side to him. He was playing around a lot of the time.

The best part is that he is still at that age where he waves to you on stage and always checks to see if you are watching him. He gets excited when he knows you are watching and when I put the camera up.... I have definitely trained him that this means SMILE!!!

Here he is front and center doing his own class song.

I pray all the time that he doesn't grow out of this stage. He makes me smile all the time and just seems like such a happy little guy. Glad we were finally able to attend!! It was well worth it!

Gavin's First Sport

So my dad is a huge baseball fan. Did I mention my dad is a HUGE Astros fan? Although we have never discussed it, I am absolutely positive he has longed for his grandsons to play baseball. Roy plays basketball, golf and soccer so I thought what should I do with Gavin to give him a little taste of sports....... BASEBALL!!! I signed him up for the early bird special back in January and made the mistake of telling Gavin that he was going to play baseball on a team like Roy does. Since the day I told him he has been asking when is he going to play. So finally three months later he is suited up and playing his heart out. I think my favorite part is the gear. He just looks adorable. I love him. Since January we have been practicing hitting and catching. He has gotten a lot better since the beginning. I wanted to make sure he wasn't the kid who is playing in the dirt like the one in the background of this picture. :)

I also started by tossing the ball and having him swing at it. This caused him a little agony because he does not like to hit off the tee. He would rather someone pitch to him. But he has got it down now and actually hits the ball very well.

Bill has jumped in and decided to coach. I think it has been a great thing for him to be involved with Gavin. They seem to have so much fun out there. Both boys come home pooped from the practices and games.

I kept questioning whether Gavin was going to like baseball just because I threw it on him but when he runs to first base this is what he looks like. I have no doubt in my mind that I made the right selection for him. Such a ham.

Getting Bigger

Just a little progress on the growing belly...........One of our wonderful suppliers gave us the gift for a 3D sonogram. I hadn't seen the baby in awhile so I was so anxious to see him. The doctor tried and tried but said I am just to small and that the baby has NO room in there. So they told me to eat some more and come back in a few weeks. We did snap this little picture of his face. I have a hard time picturing his features but he looks like a cutie!! My back is killing me, my hips are hurting and just can't move like I want to. It hasn't slowed me down though. I try to keep up with it all. Every doctor appointment goes well and she says I am right on track and that everything looks good so I am very blessed with that.
