Ashley's Big Idea

Ashley decided to go to the Zoo for our last day of Thanksgiving vacation. It turned out to be an awesome idea. There was no one at the park and the weather turned out good. We loaded the boys up to have some male bonding time. They take such good care of Rocco. This is right outside the Komodo Dragon. That thing is a bit scary. The best part of the day was when the monkey jumped in front of the window that everyone was standing in front of and we all screamed. Jillian started to cry.
Then we went into the bird jungle and a bird decided to land on Ash. She started screaming and I started to try and knock it off of her. Jillian started to cry again. Poor thing she thought mommy was hurt.
Ash and Rocco enjoying the zoo...
Finally to end the wonderful Thanksgiving vacation, I had the boys put on their new matching pajamas. Roy definitely thought he was too old for this but I said NEVER!!
It was a great full week with the boys. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did. Now back to the crazy school schedule. Christmas is a coming!!!

Turkey day!!

Thanksgiving did not start out exactly the way we planned. We were in charge of potato casserole and the turkey. So Bill woke up and frantically tried to get the right tools to get the turkey started. Well he finally gets things going and ............ this is what happened. It kept foaming up and he couldn't get the temperature right. He was getting so mad and frustrated and the tension was mounting. My family showed up and knew something was wrong. How were we going to have Thanksgiving without a turkey.
Luckily, my mom had a back up turkey and the table was set. Everyone enjoyed the yummy food. Even my dish was commented on. YES!!!! I'm learning.
The best part of the day is that it was GRAMMY'S BIRTHDAY!!! The kids huddled around her and assisted her with the presents. She got a beautiful bracelet and a gift card!!
Then the kids played with the turtles in the backyard and we talked and got to catch up on fun stories.
Then we headed to do Bill's side of Thanksgiving and this is what we find in their front yard. Most of you might think this is no biggie but this is the middle of the city!!! Not normal.
We watched the Cowboys win and relaxed. It was definitely a good time.

Day off with the kids!

We had full intentions of taking the kids to the zoo but the weather was just too risky to get the kids sick. So my mom knew of this place called FUNtastic playland. Jillian and Gavin enjoyed this little Big Bird ride. But the hit of the day was the big bouncy slide. The kids went round and round and round. The boys cousin Katie was able to come and she had a blast as you can see. Gavin just loves her. He follows her around and she just plays and helps him. She found herself side ways down the slide.
Gavin went face first. No blood no foul!
Roy found his corner at the basketball courts. He was playing there all day. We played horse with him a couple of times. There is something about that basketball gene in me that I just can't let him win. I gotta work on that one. ;)
Jillian does a pretty good job keeping up with the bigger kids. She played until she could go no more.
And then we have the youngest who cannot be left out of the action. The kids love Rocco and wanted to have him try out the slide. These kids are just so adorable.
Such a fun day. Thanks Mom and Ash!!

Michael Jackson In the House

That is right!! Roy Pearce is obsessed with Michael Jackson. Bill pulled out his old greatest hits CD and Roy has been playing it ever since. I swear it is all we listen to. He just got a phone so maybe we can get a hold of him when he is away and Bill loaded all the songs on there for him. He is wearing it out. He wouldn't let me take a picture with him and the phone so I caught him taking a picture of me trying to take a picture of him. When I pulled out the camera this is what I hear, Oh Summer I can do the moonwalk!! So here he is breaking it down in the kitchen. He then had to go get sock so he could really dance. I cannot wait to play some Michael Jackson at the wedding and see him go!
Finally, we get the boys for the whole week of Thanksgiving. Bill and I are super excited to get to spend some really quality time with them. But I am beginning to think the dogs REALLY enjoy the boys coming to visit. Every time I look the boys are eating and the dogs are not far behind. I think they get fed much better with them around. :)

PLUGS!!!

We left right after the shower and headed for Corpus to do a little fishing. Bill gets an itch and we just gotta go. Plus he had some work to do on Monday. We ended up having bad luck with the weekend fishing and really didn't catch much. But on Monday we went to the job site and couldn't get it going so we called our boy John to come and meet us to get it fixed on Tuesday.

While we were waiting for them to come down we decided to run out and fish one more time. We were in hurry and got bait and headed to the dock. We threw everything in the boat as quick as we could and headed out. All of a sudden I hear Bill screaming, " We're taking on water!" "Oh my goodness, I didn't put the PLUGS in!!!" What??????? We were sinking. We turned the boat around and Bill jumped off. The boat was getting lower and lower to the water. He ran and got the truck and backed up. We finally got the boat up on the trailer and got it out of the water. There was water draining out of the bottom of the boat for like 10 minutes. Afterwards we laughed but it could have been really bad.

We ended up catching a few fish and had a lot of fun. I ended up catching this big nasty!! It was such a fun fight. It was worth all the yelling and screaming and chaos for this one fish. :)

FYI..... If you're going out in a boat, make sure the plugs are in!!! Might help with the whole floating thing!

Amy & Brad's Shower

So Mom and I teamed up to put on a spectacular baby shower for my good friend Amy. Mom is so perfect for the job and she helped me out with everything. She knows exactly how to host a beautiful event. She made the cutest baby diaper cake. She made amazing cup cakes. The chicken salad sandwiches were to die for and the punch was delicious! We made the house look awesome and put on a great gathering. THANKS MOM!!! The happy couple showed up and the we began eating. Everyone raved about the food.
I decided to try something out and invite the guys too. You are probably thinking that I am crazy, right? Well we wanted Brad to be apart of it so I thought not a problem.... serve good food and they will come! And it worked. The men stuck together and talked about golf.
They got lots of goodies for the baby boy. I heard from Amy and she said the nursery is ready to go. So it sounds like we are just waiting for January 17th to come!! YEA!! We are so excited to meet the little guy.
I couldn't believe it. We got home from Corpus and checked the mail and Amy had already sent out her thank you notes. Man I got a lot to live up to. You Go Girl!!

A Preview of Jan 2nd

Here is the sign that you will be looking for as you enter Castroville on Hwy 90. It is through town and almost on the edge of town. This is the front where the lobby is and will be the check in.
Now, up of the left where that balcony is, that is the bridal suite where I will be spending most of my time. It is a two bedroom two bath apartment and has an amazing view. LOVE IT!!! The right side is where the ballroom is where our reception will be.
Now as you are facing us getting married this is what will be at your back. This is the hotel's restaurant where we will have the rehearsal dinner. GOOD FOOD!!

And here it is... This is the long aisle that I will walk down where Bill will be waiting for me at this beautiful terrace on the hill of the hill country view. It is going to be just spectacular.
SEE YOU THERE!!!!

Happy Halloween

Rocco got the prize for cutest costume. He was just adorable. We had a full house for Halloween. Roy had fun with his cousin Katie. We never could get his costume to act right.
We finally got the fisherman to put on half his costume and then I had to bribe him with candy to pose for this picture.

We headed out around the neighborhood and Jillian and Gavin had the best seat. We pulled them around and got out and ran up to the doors to try and keep up with the older ones.
What a crew...
