4th of July - Big Shell

The boys rode down with Candace and George because traveling with 3 boys and a baby can be a little tight. We started the long drive to Big Shell. The boys were pretending to sleep so they didn't have to help make liters.
We found our spot and set up camp and this is what the morning brings. I love the beach. And yes, I even love to camp on the beach.
The boys got into the action right away.
Bill pulled in his first keeper and the boys introduced Kiernan to the fish. He loved it. He was so curious.
Proud of his catch. We caught all kids of fish. That is definitely what I love about Big Shell. You can catch all sorts of different fish. We had reds, trout, jack, lady fish and Whites to name a few.
But the beach thing sure does take a beating on us. It was really hard to have a baby out there but he did really good. Although we all look so comfortable. I thought I was going to die. I am so hot with these sweaty little boys on me and my back is killing me. I think they slept a lot better than I did.
Waiting for dad to finish the food.
Dad putting the food on. YUMMY!!!
Love this picture. Boy are we looking rough but having fun. Gavin is covered in baby powder. Cracks me up. You have to constantly cover yourself in baby powder to get all the sand off. The boys were so reluctant to try it but once they did we had fights over who had it.
Boys taking Kiernan for a walk on the beach.
Daddy teaching and relaxing on the beach.
The best hostesses in the world. I would never go do there without them. They are pros. We always forget stuff and they always have it. Plus they are catching fools. They caught tons of trout. My favorite fish to eat. We had four fillets that we caught. George filleted them and sent them home with us. I broiled them and the boys tore them up. It was delicious.
KK loved the sand; he loved the waves; he loved the fishes. He did great and loved every minute of it. And thank the Lord he did not get sunburned.
We did have to test him out on the kayak. The kid was to love to kayak.
I woke up each morning and gave Kiernan his bottle and put him back in bed so that I could rush out and fish. Each morning I caught an 18" trout. YUMMY!!!
But soon the boys would wake and we played all over the beach.
Finally our tent was horrible. It was so hot and just wouldn't work. Right before we left we purchased this to sit under to get out of the sun. IT WAS A LIFE SAVER!!! We got rid of the tent and set up our bed under here. We slept and lived out of this for the full trip. AWESOME!!
We sure were ready to get showers when we got home. I enjoyed the break and time away. Just a little more complicated with a baby now.

Brothers

The boys just spent two weeks together. I think they had a blast. Kiernan likes to try and keep up with his older brothers. His smile is from ear to ear when they are around.
Gavin enjoyed taking his brother around in his car. It makes me very nervous so we make sure Gavin keeps a good hold of KK.
 So sweet.
Roy came in to show him how to put some good tunes on in the car. He danced all around.
The boys just left for their other home and so Kiernan and I are taking advantage of the quiet house and extending our sleep hours.

Day 6- Adios Disney

A Trip I will never forget and I sure hope the kids feel the same.

Thanks Grammie and Poppy and Ashley and Bryan and Bill.

Day 5- Magic Kingdom

Well we just couldn't get enough of Magic Kingdom or maybe we couldn't get it all done in one day but whatever the reason we had to take on Magic Kingdom one more time.

First stop and probably my favorite was the character breakfast with Pooh and friends. They were so personable and gave each one of the kids an extra special time. It was quiet and calm and just had a real good feel to it. We got some great pictures of the kids too.

Seeing the kids hug the characters is just awesome as a parent.
Gavin wants to jump up in his arms.....
Piglet was my favorite so soft and gentle with kids. They loved them.
As we were walking to the rides the Ugly Step Sisters appeared and we jumped in line. They were so funny. A lot of the characters made fun of Roy's hair since he loves to have it shaggy and down in his face. This picture describes exactly how we feel. Show your face kid!!!
Gavin had a blast of the merry go round.
And so did mommy and KK!
Taking a ride on It's A Small World. Kiernan ended up falling asleep again on this one. We then rode Peter Pan and flew in car above Never Never Land. Super fun!!!

Waiting in line for the Pirates. I think that is what Gavin is doing. LOL!
And then of course I planned it perfectly so I could enjoy the block party parade one more time.
I think I enjoyed this one way more than the kids. I am trying to get Goofy to see my kid.
We then waited in line to see Tiana. The kids loved her. KK liked her ALOT!!!!

Day 4- Magic Kingdom

We started out Magic Kingdom with a bang. We got to the park super early (as usual) and began riding rides and seeing the park. We then met up with Ash and Mom and gang. They had been to the princess breakfast that morning. First up was the cars.
We stopped for a group shot on the bridge since not everyone could ride so a few stayed back with the babies.
Wait is that a three year old driving and what about NO TEXTING WHILE DRIVING!!!!

All I could hear was my sister screaming. As I turn around, I see my niece taking Ash for a bit of a bumpy ride.

And of course Mr. Serious Gavin who is trying to be the perfect driver

One of my favorite parts of Magic Kingdom was the noon hour parade in the streets. OMG!!! So fun. The song just makes you want to dance and sing and be a kid again. While this was going on I was busy running ahead for our Buzz Light Year Fast Pass.

My boys
The family

Whole Crew
Now for whatever reason there is a huge gap here in pictures but I can remember us Fast Passing all day long and running from one thing to another. Everyone was happy and the kids got to do all kinds of things. My favorite ride was Space Mountain.
We decided tonight was the night to stay late and keep the kids up for the night parade. We weren't sure what might happen the next night so we wanted to do it..... but it rained and rained and rained. No worries though because Bill ran out and got us the ponchos. Hadleigh was not doing well so Bryan took her back so they are absent in these pictures.
The kids all got light toys. Total success!!!!
Mom and Dad even got in on the action
Kiernan thankfully went to sleep and so I wrapped him up and he laid in the stroller all night. YAY!! They kept delaying the show due to the rain and just when the kids were ready to throw in the towel and the adults were ready to give up..... IT STARTED!!! And every bad thought we had quickly went out the window and the Disney dream stayed alive.
Every character and movie you could think of came strolling in on beautifully lit floats. And characters danced around and made all the kids smile.

We thought we were ready to leave when we decided to stay for the light show on the castle and boy were we glad we did. A perfect treat. They did amazing lighting on the castle. Songs played and we watched in awe. And the rain stayed away so we could all enjoy ourselves.

We decided not to stay for the firework show. I mean we have seen fireworks before so we thought it was a good time to beat the crowd and get the kids in bed so they could get out of bed the next morning. Wait, did I say kids? I think I meant the adults.
