Opening Night

Oh Yeah..... We were there at opening night of the Spurs 2009-2010 season. We even get a parking pass. That is just music to ears. We got to our seats and they each had an XL shirt sitting on it. We were suppose to "White Out" the Hornets. It worked. We kicked their butt. We played awesome and the Spurs are looking pretty good this year. This is a blurry picture of Sean Elliott. He was standing talking to fans about 5 feet away. I was too scared to go take a picture with him so I took a picture of him taking picture with someone else. :)
The best part about the night was that Bill and I were on the KISS ME CAM!! Yeah, Bill planted a huge smooch on me in front of 18,000 + people. Now that is real love.

A Good Deed DONE!

Oak Hills Church has been such a blessing to Bill and I. We were able to combine our faiths together and find a place that fits our needs. They began a big Food Pak Campaign. It is to fill a box of food that will feed a family of four for a whole week. Bill went a little crazy and got four boxes. The church's goal is to fill 10,000 boxes and deliver them to families in San Antonio, We are at the 8,000 mark. So I was feeling the pressures that we were the ones holding us back from our goal. Max told us it would take about 25.00 to fill a box. We had been procrastinating for three months to get our boxes back to the church. But today was our day. Bill and I headed to the new HEB Plus and had a blast. We picked out all sorts of goodies. Well I don't know about goodies but we got a family or two or three or four set up to feed their bellies for a week. It felt so good.
I was filling the cart while Bill was checking the list to make sure we were following the instructions. And at the check out counter..... 78.25 was our total. It only cost us 19.50 per family to feed for a week. Wow it made me think about how much we spend on food in a week. We are so blessed but also I am sure there are some things that we can do without. All is all it was a wonderful experience. We are waiting for Roy to come and he and Gavin can pack the boxes up and we will go out to church on Sunday morning and turn them in. Nothing like waiting til the last day!

Dallas Weekend!

We headed to Dallas because David(Bill's cousin) and Brecka were getting married. We got to spend time with Uncle John and Aunt Beverly. They always keep us young with all their festivities. I think we didn't go to bed before midnight and began each day around seven. Boy am I tired. On Saturday, we got to spend the day with Uncle Donnie and Aunt Colleen. They took us to an excellent breakfast and then made Bill's day by showing him the Grapevine Bass Pro Shop. He was in heaven. We then scrambled to get ready for the wedding and headed off. We hung out with the family outside the chapel and talked and took pictures. Here is Aunt Jennifer and Kristi and Kristi's girls, Brenna and Kendall. They just looked awesome! Uncle Alvin and Aunt Jennifer did a great job giving their son away. I think being parents of the groom is always a little bit easier.
This is Uncle Donnie and Aunt Colleen and of course you know the other two.
My favorite picture is to capture the groom as the doors open and he gets to see his bride for the first time. I LOVE for the groom to shed a tear and David didn't leave me hanging. He was all grins and his lip quivered fighting back the tears. He had reason to because Brecka look amazing. Her dress was beautiful. I am so sad that I didn't snap a shot of her but take my word for it.
The reception was wonderful and the food was excellent! Bill and I sat with family and talked the night away.
My favorite part was when Uncle Alvin tore up the dance floor. He also gave a wonderful speech. I had no idea how funny he could be.
Kristi is always so sweet and we were able to catch up and have some fun girl time. We discussed my wedding plans. I gave her the evil eye and told her she needed to cut her ski trip short so she could be there. I think they just might do that. :)
Sunday morning was awesome. We woke up bright and early and headed to the golf course. It was such a beautiful day. We even got Uncle John to attend. Bill was so happy. He actually did very well.
The happy Uncle and nephew.
We headed back to catch the Cowboys put on a whooppin'. We went over to Sandy and Micheal's house and had burgers. It was such a nice time. We went out by the dock at halftime and took in the scenery.
Monday we got to play Tour 18 which is a great course and Bill was in heaven. It was a little too rainy and cold for me but still had a great time. Thank you to everyone for such great hospitality. Can't wait to see everyone in January!

Tux boys

So we thought we had it all planned out. Bill and I discussed Thursday night was the fitting of the TUX! We called all the guys and everyone went to meet up there. Bad idea.... The service was terrible. The girls were so rude and just not very helpful. You know most places say things like "Congrats", " When is the big day?" but no not these girls. :( It took forever. First they started to measure Gavin and of course he starts crying and doesn't want to participate. GRRR!!! I am a little afraid that this is how he is going to be at the even but I gotta keep my fingers crossed and hope for a miracle that day. We picked out the tux and the guys all got fitted. Let's hope the rest of the experience is much better. Now we are off to Dallas for a cousin's wedding. Can't wait to hang out with the family!!

Full Satur-DAY

Alright I will try to get you all the details of our day but it sure was a long one. Here we are with the kids loaded up and headed to Devine. Gavin and Roy and then we had Roy's friend Brandon and their cousin Katie. We were off..... We met up with Ashley and the kids, Mom and Dad, and our cousins Kim, Alison, and Wyatt.
Ashley saddled Rocco up and here they are playing on the playground.
Here are our cousins Alison and Wyatt.
The had a pond that the kids could fish. This seemed to be the hit. All the kids were so interested in what was going on. Bill loaded them up and put all the poles in the water.
The next best thing is the kids got bags of stones or arrowheads and they got to go mining for them. It is actually a very cool idea and the kids stay occupied for like 30 minutes.
Finally, because Ashley and Summer have their way we get to do our photo opt. Yes that's right. This is defiantly my highlight of the day. I am sure the kids disagree.
Here is grammy and poppy with their soon to be four grandchildren. It is going to be impossible to ever get them all looking at the camera at the same time.
So then we left and grabbed some food and headed to Roy's soccer game. Unfortunately, they lost 3-1 but it was fun to see him out there. He did very well.
We then dropped Katie off at Bill's parents house and visited with them for a little bit. We then headed to church. The kids did great!! I was worried since we had been going all day but no problems!! The service was very good. I am glad we squeezed it in because we will not be able to go for the next two weekends.
And the final activity of the night... We had game night at the neighbors house. It was super fun. They had sandwiches for us. We then began a hard nosed game of Tripoley. First time I had ever played but I had a blast. Bill and I lost all of our pennies and were about ready to leave because the kids were super tired when we decided to play one more hand and put all the remaining pennies on the table. AND I WON!!! Yes, we were 50 cents richer. We had such a good time. Bill and I hit the pillows and were out. We both woke up this morning and we hadn't moved all night. The sheets were still in place. It was a great Saturday!

Phase II Begins!!

We are 32 days away from having a baby shower at the house for our good friends Amy and Brad so what did we decide to do.... That's right! FINISH THE FLOORS. I know all of you are saying they are crazy and we are but our logic is that we have a deadline to make. It keeps us going and the this ensures that the project will be completed in a timely manner. Here are some of the pictures to get your minds interested. This is the back of the house. It was an open living room and then two small bedrooms. It is a much smaller area to do.
Wish us luck...
The house is already starting to smell better and we are so excited to do some much needed home improvements.

Dress Fitting #1

Well I am T Minus 1 hour away from my fitting and I am so excited. I can't wait to put my dress back on. I am also excited to see how my weight loss is going. You see, the dress is a bit snug. Not too snug but enough to make me want to lose some lbs. I have been trying to do little things to lose a little. I am not doing the greatest job but it is in the back of my mind everyday.

In wedding news, I have booked the DJ, photographer, venue, etc. Super excited. We are having trouble with the invitations. We just can't find the right one. On Monday, I went to my sister's house and we played with the veil and figured out my hair style. My sister is super talented and she is going to figure out my hair (with the help of my aunt of course). She is a brave woman. But I have complete confidence in her. Ohhh and they just called and said Jillian's dress is ready. I can't wait. She looks so grown up in her dress and she just loves to show off in it. :)

Finally, Bill and I have decided to take the last of the carpet out and stain the back living room and the boys' bedrooms. I am sure you are thinking we are crazy to do this right now but Bill assures me that we can do it. Also, we have a baby shower at the house in November. AHHH!!! But the carpet is so bad and we both cannot stand the look of it anymore. I can't wait to have the whole house done and not to worry about that after the wedding. We will come home to a completed product. Wish us luck.....
