Vacation Day 1

So the alarm started at 4:00am and we somehow made it to the airport. Can you believe the boys are smiling. They were such troopers to start the trip. Gavin slept most of the way so he became rejuvenated. We landed in Atlanta and got our car and headed out to Amy and Brad's. The scenery was so pretty and the area that they live in is awesome. We pulled up to their mansion ( I mean home..) and basically made ourselves at home. We decided to head out and try the Varsity. If I could describe this place to you it is a Sonic on steroids. Basically it is a two story fast food joint with a drive in.
They had about 20 lines going with people ready to take your order. It was loud and crazy. The food was not good but we were told you gotta go once. Very random thing but totally entertaining.
We then headed to the Zoo. It was super HOT! We got lost a bunch of times and I would say the SA Zoo is much better. This was my favorite little guy.
The boys were interested in the reptile house. Yeah, that is just not my thing.
Our second event was the Atlanta Braves vs. Florida Marlins! This complex was so neat.
My favorite part of the game was seeing Chipper Jones. Such a classy MLS player. It might be his last season so it was good to see him. The crowd reception was always loud when he stepped up to the plate.
Roy enjoyed learning the tomahawk chant. I never knew there was such an art to it.
Gavin's favorite part was the ice cream.
Roy got a new ball for his collection.
We had such a nice time at the game and it was very entertaining. Braves won 4-1. It was a quick game and we were back at Amy's for the night. We were all ready for ni-night from out loooonng day!
